Walk for the Woods - Weekend!

Event Date:  April 20, 2013 (All day) - April 21, 2013 (All day) Walk for the Woods -- Weekend! Saturday, April 20th AND Sunday, April 21st! Great hikes just minutes from downtown Annapolis with Scenic Rivers Land Trust! Bacon Ridge Natural Area is Anne Arundel County’s newest park but not yet fully open to the public. Nine-hundred+ acres in Crownsville, it is graced with upland streams, lily-filled ponds, nesting birds and spring wild flowers. Hikes range from one to four miles on marked trails. Bird and nature guides, as well as tours of historic cemetery, are available throughout the weekend as well. MD Boaters Safety Course

Event Date:  May 4, 2013 - 9:00am - May 25, 2013 - 2:00pm MD Boating Safety Education Course at Lusby Southern Branch Library This course satisfies the MD Boating Safety Education requirement for persons born after July 1, 1972. The US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Solomons Flotilla, will present a three-session Maryland Boating Safety Education course on Saturday, May 4th, 11th and 25th. The class sessions will begin at 9:00 AM. Sessions end at noon on the 4th and 11th, and at 2:00 PM on the 25th. The class will be presented in the Lusby Southern Branch Library, 20 Appeal Lane.
