1812 Fair and Reenactment

St. Mary’s Militia

Stroll thru militia encampments and visit colonial merchants; watch unit members test their master of musketry; let your nose lead you to demonstrations of camp cooking; call on militia families as they carry out daily tasks, try on colonial clothing; have fun at colonial games; enjoy a mini-drama at the State House; attend the Salter Trial to discover what happens to a 17th-century pig thief; participate in an English Civil War puppet show; practice drilling with a pike or musket blank and march along with militia men preparing for battle. 10am-4pm at St. Mary’s City Museum.
