ArtWorks Exhibit and Opening Reception

Event Date:  Repeats every week until Sun Oct 29 2017 . October 1, 2017 - 1:00pm - 4:00pm Through a collaboration with Creative and Performing Arts of South County (CPASC), masterpieces by young local artists in CPASC’s ArtWorks program will be on display at the Captain Avery Museum throughout October. Kicked off with an opening reception on Sunday, October 1, the exhibit will be on display during the museum’s Oyster Festival on Sunday, October 15, and on every other Sunday in October from 1-4 pm. Works on display will include a wide range of media, including collage, painting, drawing, and sculpture. The artists range in age from 3 to 12. Ride for the Rivers

Event Date:  September 23, 2017 - 8:00am - 3:00pm The fourth annual Ride for the Rivers is a Metric Century Bicycle Ride / 40-Mile Ride / Family Fun Ride followed by a great BBQ to benefit the West & Rhode Riverkeeper. Discover the beauty of the watersheds of the West and Rhode Rivers (as well as the Patuxent River and Herring Bay), on this challenging ride through the rolling countryside of Southern Anne Arundel County and Northern Calvert County. Fourth Annual Pet Memorial Sunday Ceremony
