For 15 years, we’ve asked you, our readers, to weigh in on your favorite things here in Chesapeake Country and determine the Best of the Bay.
    By no means a scientific study, Best of the Bay is more a reflection of your passions. In some cases the ballots reflected a sense of teamwork, as with the shops of Maryland Avenue, of which more than a few took Best of honors. For others, it was a passionate campaign, as with Mike’s Bar & Crab House, whose fans awarded it multiple honors. For still others, it was a matter of loyalty, as with Zü ­Coffee, whose customers again returned the cafe to the ranks of Best of winners. And for some, like the town of North Beach, it was civic pride.
    Some categories have multiple winners, as your votes came to a draw.
    As much a story as the winners was the race itself, so for the first time we're including the full list of vote-getters, awarding Runners Up and Honorable Mention.
