Annapolis Quilt Guild 2014 Show, Quilts by the Bay

Event Date:  June 14, 2014 - 10:00am - June 15, 2014 - 4:00pm On June 14-15, Annapolis, Maryland, the Annapolis Quilt Guild presents the annual quilt show, Quilts by the Bay at Annapolis Senior High School, 2700 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401. Hours are Saturday, June 14th -10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and Sunday, June 15th - 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. There will be over 200 quilts, free demonstrations, special exhibits from the Baltimore Appliqué Society and Hoffman Challenge, may vendors, a boutique of handmade gifts, raffles, and a country store with items for quilting, sewing, knitting and more. Annapolis Arts Alliance 3rd Annual Juried Art Show-Opening Reception

Event Date:  June 3, 2014 - 5:30pm - 7:00pm Annapolis Arts Alliance 3rd Annual Juried Art Show The Annapolis Arts Alliance will hold its 3rd Annual Juried Art Show at the Annapolis Maritime Museum. The show officially opens during Museum hours, noon- 4pm, beginning Thursday, June 5th and concluding Sunday, August 3. This year’s judges are Lucinda Dukes Edinberg, art educator, The Mitchell Gallery at St. John’s College; Ginny Kuhn, one of Anne Arundel County’s top fine art photographers; and Nancy Hammond, of Nancy Hammond Editions in Centreville, whose Chesapeake Bay-related art is known all over the east coast. First Sunday Arts Festival in Annapolis - 2014 Schedule

Event Date:  Repeats every month on July, August, September, October on the first Sunday until Sun Oct 05 2014 . June 1, 2014 - 12:00pm First Sunday Arts Festivals are held on the first Sunday of every month from noon to 5pm on Calvert and West Streets. The 2014 schedule is: May 4, June 1, July 6, August 3, September 7, and October 5. The streets and parks in this area are filled with over 100 unique artists and crafters, live music, dance, street performers, and international outdoor cafes. Admission is always FREE and plenty of parking is available at the State Parking Garage on the corner of Calvert and Bladen streets.

Plein Air Festival

Watch 25 competition artists from all over the East Coast paint for three days around Solomons and Calvert County. See the paintings inspired by their plein air experience and choose your favorite artists as they compete for the coveted Avian Best of Show award. The festival wraps up with An Affaire of the Arts reception with live music and catering with cash bar open to all from 6-9pm on Sept. 21. The open-air extravaganza benefits CSM student scholarships.
