Children's Day

Event Date:  Repeats every 2 days until Sat Aug 20 2016 . August 20, 2016 - 11:00am - 2:00pm The St. Clement’s Island Museum will have its Children’s Day event on Saturday, August 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be free balloons, face painting, games, crafts, activities, snow cones and goody bags. The first 200 kids will receive a reusable water bottle. Community heroes from the Seventh District Fire Department, Seventh District Rescue Squad and Med-Star Hospital will offer activities promoting health and safety. Hometown Karaoke & DJ Services will have everyone dancing to kid-friendly tunes. Chesapeake Outdoor Group's 12th Annual 12-Ounce Regatta

Event Date:  Repeats every day on the 11 of August until Sun Aug 16 2015 . August 15, 2015 - 9:30am - 7:00pm The 12-Ounce Regatta is an annual fundraising event hosted by Chesapeake Outdoor Group (COG). Entrants build model sailboats from a collection of standard materials purchased from COG in advance of race day. The core ingredients are a six-pack of beer (root beer for the Kid’s Class), tape and a hanger. The completed boat must fit entirely in a 5-gallon bucket.
