Worm Worlds

Then you just might need a worm bin in your home! Worm bins are a great way to compost food. They provide nutrient rich soil for plants and teach all about the world of worms. We’ll provide all the supplies needed to make two different size worm bins – you can choose the best size for you. All ages (with adult). The Great American Backyard Campout

Event Date:  June 21, 2013 - 6:30pm - June 22, 2013 - 9:00am Join the rest of America in this annual tradition promoted by the National Wildlife Federation! Pitch a tent at Irvine, head out for a night hike with us, do some stargazing, then enjoy a campfire snack before bed. In the morning, we’ll listen to the sounds of the forest waking up and share a light breakfast. Pre-registration is required; Irvine provides a limited number of tents (please mention that you need one when registering). Please eat dinner before arriving promptly at 6:30 p.m. All ages (with adult). Youth Birding League

This naturalist-led series introduces youth to competitive and scientific birding opportunities. Learn easy identification techniques and how to bird on a team, and visit new places month to month. You will make new friends, learn to bird and create many memorable moments! More dates will be announced. Ages 10-15. Intro to Birding
