Each year - in hundreds of cities in over 80 nations - World Tai Chi & Qigong Day events have been held on the last Saturday in April in every time zone around the world. Starting at 10:00 am in the first time zone, and moving in a wave around the earth as 10:00 am reaches each new time zone, groups will gather to practice Tai Chi and Qigong. It begins when we see something or someone who appears attractive to us, and we escalate this attraction in our imagination until we feel we have to have it. Although it feels pleasant in the beginning, it always produces pain. In this retreat we will understand how craving develops and how to recognize, reduce and eventually eliminate it altogether. FREE Tea & Tai Chi Class “Get Rid of Doggone Stress!”

Event Date:  February 27, 2018 - 7:00pm - 8:30pm It’s the “Year of the Dog,” so it seems appropriate to talk about how tai chi can help with stress that continues to “dog you.” Not only will you learn how tai chi helps reduce stress, we will cover other benefits: joint health, flexibility and strength; balance and fall prevention; improved blood pressure, and help with conditions such as Parkinson’s and fibromyalgia; and more. There will be a discussion and then you will have the opportunity to practice basic movements. We will also cover using breathwork, still meditation, and moving meditation.
