The Lost Towns Project's Archaeology Field Session

Event Date:  August 16, 2017 (All day) - August 19, 2017 (All day) Join archaeologists from Anne Arundel County and the Lost Towns Project to investigate “Skipwith’s Addition”, a 17th century residence (1664-1682). Excavations during the week of August 16th-19th will focus on documenting the footprint of the 17th century house and associated structures to reveal more about this early, short-lived habitation site and the Quakers who lived there. No archaeological experience required; we’ll give you “On the Job Training”!

Warner’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book introduced us to the creature that’s been captivating diners and scientists alike ever since: the blue crab. Beautiful Swimmers Revisited is a documentary film that takes viewers on a journey around the Bay to look in on those who catch, study and eat blue crabs. The film demonstrates how science has evolved since Warner’s day to better understand the behavior of this enigmatic shelled creature. Join CBL for a screening of this 57 minute film prior to its television debut.
