Marvelous Mammals

Event Date:  April 14, 2013 - 3:00pm - 4:00pm From the woodland bison which once roamed through the forest to the venomous shrews that lurk in your backyard, this talk will tell the tale of mammals in Anne Arundel County. Join Kerry Wixted, a Maryland DNR biologist, for a show & tell presentation, featuring furs, tracks and other animal artifacts. Participants will learn about mammal biology and ways to identify and view some of these curious creatures. Ocean Exploration Using Underwater Robotics

Event Date:  March 10, 2013 - 3:00pm - 4:00pm Robert Lohe, of Phoenix International, will present a brief history of deep water exploration and salvage using underwater robotics - remotely operated vehicles (“ROVs”) and autonomous underwater vehicles (“AUVs”) - including a special look at their use in an expedition to the Titanic.
