Annapolis Rotary Crab Feast

Event Date:
August 3, 2018 - 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Eat all the crabs you want in good conscience at Annapolis Rotary’s 72 Annual Crab Feast, anticipating the good works to come from your good appetite with tens of thousands of dollars going in grants to local charities. Crabs are all No. 1 males, which look to be running well in Chesapeake waters this year. Shoreline Seafood of Gambrills does the steaming in the traditional Chesapeake way, hot and Old Bay-seasoned. Corn and watermelons are from the Eastern Shore. You’ll be among thousands at the popular event, all feasting on Atlantic blue crabs, Maryland vegetable crab soup, corn on the cob, beef barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, draft beer, sodas, water and watermelon slices courtesy of the Mar-Del Watermelon Association. You’ll also find a bake sale and cake raffle. Annapolis Green, the local environmental advocacy group, collects all the crab and other food waste and utensils — typically over 20,000 pounds — for compost. 5-8pm at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis. Buy tickets early and save: $75 at the gate w/advance and age discounts; $130 for preferred dining, free parking, rsvp: 877-333-9667; www.annapolisrotary.org.
