Maestro Jose-Luis Novo conducts the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and promises an enchanting evening. Hear music from Francis Poulenc’s ballet Les biches about the sexual morals in a roaring ’20s’ party house. Then go back in time another century and hear Pablo de Sarasate and Maurice Ravel’s gypsy melodies. The night ends with Igor Stravinksy’s ballet musical Petrushka, with Russian folk melodies surrounding a story about an obscene clown.
