Tai Chi, a type of qigong, is a low-impact exercise that promotes joint health, improves flexibility & strength; improves balance & helps prevent falls; increases stamina; helps with arthritis, blood pressure, diabetes & chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia; improves posture; and more.

The class, taught by an experienced instructor (Shifu Billy Greer), is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Please wear clothes suitable for movement, such as athletic pants and a t-shirt. All fitness levels welcome. Bring a friend!

The free class on September 6 will start with a brief talk on the health benefits of tai chi. Then you will have the opportunity to learn basic tai chi & qigong movements. We will also have healthy premium tea for you to enjoy.

An 8-week session will follow, starting on September 13. This class meets once a week at the Severna Park Community Center in Severna Park from 10:30 to 11:30 am and covers tai chi and qigong exercises. New students can join at any time and the fee will be pro-rated.

You can make up missed classes by attending any of Jing Ying's "Tai Chi for Health & Wellness" or "Tai Chi for Chronic Conditions" classes at Jing Ying's studio in Arnold up to a month after a Severna Park Community Center session ends.
