The Kent Island Heritage Society will hold its annual celebration of the heritage, life, and culture of Kent Island on Saturday, May 18 from 10 am to 5 pm in old town Stevensville. This year’s event will feature a War of 1812 display including books and information on the British occupation of Kent Island in 1813, an exhibit of newly unearthed artifacts donated to the Society from a historic Kent Island mansion by the Gay Carter Lees family, pony rides and moon bounce for the kids, numerous vendors of specialty items, and entertainment. Kent Island Day offers an entertaining and informative day for the whole family, filled with local food, fun, and friendship, celebrating Kent Island. It's worth the drive.
