MD Boaters Safety Course
MD Boating Safety Education Course at Lusby Southern Branch Library
This course satisfies the MD Boating Safety Education requirement for persons born after July 1, 1972.
The US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Solomons Flotilla, will present a three-session Maryland Boating Safety Education course on Saturday, May 4th, 11th and 25th. The class sessions will begin at 9:00 AM. Sessions end at noon on the 4th and 11th, and at 2:00 PM on the 25th. The class will be presented in the Lusby Southern Branch Library, 20 Appeal Lane.
Graduates of this course will receive the MD Boater Safety Education certificate. This certificate must be carried by any person born after July 1, 1972 while that person operates a registered vessel in MD waters.
Students must attend all sessions and pass a final examination in order to obtain the certificate.
Topics include: Introduction to Boating Terms, Boating Equipment, Boat Trailering, Boat Handling Underway, Navigation Aids, Boating Emergencies, MD Boating Laws, Jet Ski Operation, Water Skiing Regulations, Hunting and Fishing.
