Continuing the Conversation

Dear Bay Weekly:

I would like to start an ad for my business with you. I truly enjoy your paper and look forward to doing business with you. Hopefully business for all locals will improve and you won’t need too many of those changes you mentioned in last month’s paper.

Dear Bay Weekly:

Just finished reading your letter from the editor. It has piqued my curiosity. I’m looking forward to viewing the changes you are intending for Bay Weekly.

Dear Bay Weekly:

Just had to say how much I’ve enjoyed Bay Weekly this summer. Really liked the summer reading issue [No. 27: July 3], and Working for a Living is terrific [No. 35: Aug.] But it does give me a shudder to think that September is upon us.

Dear Bay Weekly:

At Calvert County’s Twin Beach Players, we are doing our part to be a good neighbor with our local business owners and managers. We have seen ticket holders from over 35 towns and cities. We have others come to see our shows from an hour or more away on a regular basis and from three or four hours away on occasion. When we do well, our business neighbors do well, too.

Yet with costs rising in advertising, venue rental, printing, insurance, play royalties, set pieces and costumes, things are tight in a business like ours. Remember, we are a non-profit organization. Every penny counts. That is why we are asking for just TEN * LOUSY * BUCKS.

If you have $10 right now and donate it to Twin Beach Players, by next week you probably wouldn’t even miss it or notice it was gone. Please don’t send $105 or $275, like many people do. We’re just asking for TEN * LOUSY * BUCKS.

So if you could see your way to clicking on the link below to donate just TEN * LOUSY * BUCKS, I would greatly appreciate it. I’ll also thank you when I see you … I have a long memory.

It’s simple. You can pay with PayPal or use a major credit card. To donate, please go to www.twinbeachplayers.org and click the Donate link.

Thank you for your continued support of arts and culture in our community!
