SUMMARY:Audition for the Children’s Chorus of Maryland!
DESCRIPTION:Do you know a child who loves to sing? We will be auditioning children ages 5 ½ and up who are interested in an exciting choral program. CCM features highly qualified teachers\, small classes & in-depth vocal enrichment\, providing a complete musical education and choral experience. Previous singing experience is not necessary! Auditions will be scheduled throughout the summer. In addition to a scheduled audition\, you will receive access to our special welcome and audition Sneak Peek E-Package\, including a sample audition\, interactive singing exercises\, and fun songs to learn at home! DESCRIPTION:In memory of the talented artist and a founder of the Hammond-Harwood House Museum\, Winifred Gordon\, this free series\, open to the public\, will have gallery talks on mediums including painting\, ceramics\, furniture making followed by a wellness activity. Arts\, history\, tradition\, and heritage all come together in important and unexpected ways that can improve overall health.\nThese programs connect to the art collection to improve participant’s physical health and mental well-being. Each program is 90-minute long. Capacity 20 people.\nLook at the painting by James Peale\, The Mill  and talk about the discovery of how it was attributed to him due to a sketch found at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts\nDiscuss drawing techniques and participants choose a painting in the museum’s first floor to sketch (materials provided)\nDo a stretching session in the backyard with breathing techniques to help promote good posture and relieve stress
