DESCRIPTION:Children’s Chorus of Maryland welcomes your child to join our choristers for our spring offering of online Music Mini-Courses for children ages 7 to 17 in engaging topics such as vocal skills\, composition\, recorder\, interactive musical games\, ukulele\, conducting and more! A great opportunity to learn with peers & faculty within our choir community\, each mini-course is comprised of four 45-min sessions held on Saturday mornings. CCM mini-courses are a fun way to learn new skills or simply mix-up your weekly routine! Course dates are February 27th\, March 13th\, March 20th\, and April 10th. From the golden age of piracy to Confederate privateers and oyster pirates\,20210202-Pirates the maritime communities of the Chesapeake Bay are intimately tied to a fascinating history of intrigue\, plunder and illicit commerce raiding. Author Jamie L.H. Goodall introduces those whose tales of piracy are legendary from the harbor of Baltimore to the shores of Cape Charles. Her talk will focus specifically on the Oyster Wars\, which began in the 1830s and lasted until 1959 with the death of Berkeley Muse.  \nRegistration required.
