DESCRIPTION:Children’s Chorus of Maryland welcomes your child to join our choristers for our spring offering of online Music Mini-Courses for children ages 7 to 17 in engaging topics such as vocal skills\, composition\, recorder\, interactive musical games\, ukulele\, conducting and more! A great opportunity to learn with peers & faculty within our choir community\, each mini-course is comprised of four 45-min sessions held on Saturday mornings. CCM mini-courses are a fun way to learn new skills or simply mix-up your weekly routine! Course dates are February 27th\, March 13th\, March 20th\, and April 10th. DESCRIPTION:Join Annapolis Maritime Museum for the 5th lecture of the 2021 Winter Lecture Series\, featuring speaker Dr. Susan Langley. Learn about our Nation’s newest National Marine Sanctuary which encompasses more than 100 vessels constructed by the civilian U.S. Shipping Board Emergency Fleet Corp. to ferry supplies to Europe during WWI\, presenting the largest fleet of historic vessels in the world. Discover fascinating historical aspects such as the importance of the area to the First Nations peoples\, the Revolutionary and Civil Wars\, WWI and WWII\, and the Great Depression\, as well as the history of commercial fishing through the centuries.\nLangley will also explain why there are many reasons to visit this peaceful enclave just 30 miles south of the Nation’s capital\, including excellent fishing and birdwatching.
