DESCRIPTION:McBride Gallery is hosting “Spring Inspirations…A Feast for the Eyes”  featuring five painters and two sculptors and a graphite draftsman\, just in time for Annapolis Arts Week\, the first week in June.\nFraternal twin brothers\, Stewart and Stephen Wegner have a selection of creative bronze sculpture including butterflies\, a horseshoe crab and blue crabs. Sherrill Cooper is introducing her ‘Crabby Old Men’ series and Vova Piven is arriving from Ukraine with a selection of new oil paintings of florals\, mysterious forests and action sailing. Sam Robinson is including new landscapes and interiors in gouache and oil. Christopher Best is enjoying his ‘dog fetching’ series as well as paintings of Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay. David Lawton has started a series of museum visitors as well as his favorite florals and landscapes. Maryland graphite artist Terry Miller\, coming from a solo museum show\, has graced us with new images of forests and favorite farm-life and wild-life. It is a feast for the eyes!\n \nOpening Day: Sunday\, June 6th\, show runs to July 18\, 2021

SUMMARY:Transformation Theatre Company at Monarch Academy Annapolis
DESCRIPTION:Monarch Global Academy Laurel offers an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and project-based learning. At Monarch Global Academy Laurel\, students gain a perspective on their impact and contribution to the world by spending much of their time engaged in units of inquiry and in-depth studies. \nThe school this year divided students into four virtual houses with related virtual activities and pep rallies to encourage them and build community during virtual learning. The house system was inspired by The Ron Clark Academy\, a widely recognized nonprofit middle school in Atlanta\, Georgia. \nMonarch Global Academy Laurel is located at 430 Brock Bridge Road in Laurel and is open to all students entering kindergarten through eighth grade in the fall of 2021 and who live in the Brock Bridge\, Maryland City and Jessup elementary schools attendance boundaries. \nTo register\, apply or for more information on admissions\, visit MonarchAcademy.org.\n9:00am – 3:00pm; Cost is $175 – $500
