DESCRIPTION:Visit the Museum of Historic Annapolis on the second Sunday of every month for Hands-On History Days. Drop in for special family activities – a new theme each month means you and your family will want to visit again and again! Activities are included with Museum admission. \nIn August\, meet our special guest: Globe Collection and Printing Press! \n–FREE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES! Stop by our pop-up tent outside the Museum and meet representatives from Globe Collection and Printing Press\, now operated at Baltimore’s MICA. In the 1950’s\, Globe Printing created vibrant posters advertising top entertainers at Carr’s Beach in Annapolis. Learn more about the printing process and Globe’s signature bold and eye-catching style. \n–Create your own colorful poster with rubber stamps\, courtesy of Globe Printing Press! \n–Where else can you visit the beach – but stay in air conditioning? Head inside the Museum and explore Summer’s Legacy. Learn about the history of Carr’s\, Sparrows\, and Elktonia Beaches\, and the recent preservation of a portion of Elktonia Beach. SUMMARY:Captain Avery Museum Open for the Summer
DESCRIPTION:Our historic house and museum reopen for the summer on Sunday\, June 4th. We will be open regularly on Sundays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm through the end of August. Admission is free. Explore three centuries of Chesapeake Bay history within our 19th century house\, boat house\, and rain gardens. Our grounds are open to the public year-round.
