SUMMARY:UpRooted Dance Presents: The Ascension Project
DESCRIPTION:MC3 is excited to bring more Modern dance to Annapolis this Fall! We challenge you to open your minds and experience something new with us. \nThe Ascension Project by UpRooted Dance\, set to Sufjan Steven’s Ascension Album\, is an indie-rock dance opera offering audiences the chance to reflect on the events of the past year and the world we now live in through the lens of dance\, music\, and art. \nExploring ’20/20′ vision\, The Ascension Project will take audiences through an emotional trajectory through space and time. The work explores isolation in small spaces\, anxiety\, disability\, trauma and loss\, and finally ends with transcendence. \nThe performances at MC3 will also include a collaborative guest work created by Keira Hart-Mendoza\, Katie Harris Banks\, and feature live taiko drumming by Mark H Taiko.

DESCRIPTION:During the month of October\, Annapolis Tours℠ by Watermark® is partnering with Historic Annapolis to offer Special Historic Hauntings. Our spirited guide will lead you through the dark alleys\, spooky side streets\, and lesser-known haunted sites of the old and creaky town of Annapolis. Hear from real diary entries and newspaper articles of what frightened early 18th century folks. Also included is a stop inside historic Hogshead\, where you will be immersed in the tales of those living in Annapolis during the Revolutionary War. Listen to stories of spirits that linger in the mist\, and explore one of Annapolis’ best-known cemeteries. Special Historic Hauntings takes you back to a time of superstition and legend. And who knows\, after a trip inside Hogshead\, your own story may be added to the history of Annapolis!
