The Zoo will also be accepting new and unwrapped toys for pediatric patients of the Herman & Walter Samuelson Children’s Hospital on Saturday evenings and toiletry items on Sunday evenings to benefit patients and families of Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital. \nOn Wednesdays and Thursdays\, guests can experience Zoo Lights from the comfort of their vehicles\, starting at Eagle Gate and proceeding down Buffalo Yard Road. \nTickets are $33 per vehicle and $28 per person for the walk-thru experience. The organization buys the items at a fair price\, then markets them in the United States. Come check out the amazing range of items including toys\, scarves\, placemats\, jewelry\, various baskets\, scented soaps\, stationery sets\, and different olive wood items in time for the holiday season.\n \nBuying goods from a Ten Thousand Villages pop up shop directly helps people with little access to other ways to earn income. Ten Thousand Villages will also donate a percentage of the proceeds to the UMW for hosting the event – these funds will be donated to the YWCA Arden House\, a local shelter for battered women.
