We get together to learn\, help each other\, trade ideas\, have Challenges & Showcases\, take field trips\, and have fun. Visitors from beginners to pros are welcome at meetings. Please join us! Come to Montpelier House Museum to learn how Indigenous cultures combine math and fractions with stories and life lessons.\n4-8 year olds will create paper medicine wheels by playing with parts of a whole (aka fractions)\, and learn about this symbol used by many Native American cultures to honor nature\, seasons and life itself.\nOlder kids (ages 9-15) will learn about the math incorporated in the Lakota Moon calendar\, depicted on a turtle’s shell\, and the cultural symbolism of turtles in many Native American cultures.
