SUMMARY:The Benefits of Gratitude & Positive Affirmations
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this discussion-based learning workshop is to increase participants’ understanding of the benefits of gratitude and positive affirmations and how they can impact our spiritual and mental well-being. This increased understanding will help participants to make sense of how our spiritual and mental well-being impacts the other areas of our lives which are not independent of each other. \nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will: \n1) Learn the different names used for positive affirmations and identify examples of affirmative prayers; \n2) Be able to explain at least two of the seven scientifically proven benefits of gratitude; \n3) Become familiar with the framework of the eight dimensions of wellness and recognize that all areas of our lives are not independent of each other; and \n4) Have an increased understanding of the benefits of journaling. \nABOUT SHAWNTA JACKSON \nShawnta Jackson is that person who leaves a lasting impression.
