In this presentation\, award-winning writer and storyteller Jim Duffy shares keystone stories from the very different journeys those two took out of bondage and into the history books. Learn\, too\, about other\, lesser known champions of freedom from here in our own backyard. Along the way\, Duffy will share a few of the life lessons he learned while researching and writing the book “Tubman Travels: 32 Underground Railroad Journeys on Delmarva.” \nRegistration required. Ironically\, she was able to find some peace in the middle of the isolation. \nSunhee explains\, “A deserted Island is a mysterious place and it certainly can be an isolated location but it can also be a shelter where people can find rest and peace. The paintings in this exhibit represent that place. Each leaf\, having its own unique color\, symbolizes all different emotions working together harmoniously. Creating a haven for the soul”. \nThe exhibit will run at the MC3 Gallery from March 3 – April 7th.
