DESCRIPTION:The Great Hall of an old Lord of the castle. The stage is set in live greenery\, a tree\, etc. Many candles\, rich fabrics decorate stage\, entrance and reception room. This production will celebrate the traditional music\, songs\, dance and ritual that have been passed down through time all around the world on the night in which the three Magi visited the Christ child.\nOur Revels show will feature the ancient sacred and secular tunes dating from the 13th to 17th centuries. Poetry and prose will be taken from excerpts by William Shakespeare and other Old World sources. The story of the Christ Child will be related in the manner of a folktale tradition rather than read as scripture.\nProcessionals and rituals are part of a traditional Christmas Revels. Certain carols will be presented in a fashion to encourage the audience to sing along. We will also include English country dancing in an effort to get the audience up on their feet and dancing with us.\nAfter each performance we will offer a giant bowl of warm wassail and Twelfth Night Cakes (American palates differ from that of the British Isles so we will present our own tasty renditions). This will give the audience time to enjoy refreshments while mingling with our costumed performers.

And Babe\, the youngest\, has just been arrested for shooting her husband. Under the scorching heat of the Mississippi sun\, past resentments bubble to the surface and each sister must come to terms with the consequences of her own “crimes of the heart.”

SUMMARY:Twelfth Night Revels at Mount Harmony United Methodist Church
DESCRIPTION:The Great Hall of an old Lord of the castle. The stage is set in live greenery\, a tree\, etc. Many candles\, rich fabrics decorate stage\, entrance and reception room. This production will celebrate the traditional music\, songs\, dance and ritual that have been passed down through time all around the world on the night in which the three Magi visited the Christ child.\nOur Revels show will feature the ancient sacred and secular tunes dating from the 13th to 17th centuries. Poetry and prose will be taken from excerpts by William Shakespeare and other Old World sources. The story of the Christ Child will be related in the manner of a folktale tradition rather than read as scripture.\nProcessionals and rituals are part of a traditional Christmas Revels. Certain carols will be presented in a fashion to encourage the audience to sing along. We will also include English country dancing in an effort to get the audience up on their feet and dancing with us.\nAfter each performance we will offer a giant bowl of warm wassail and Twelfth Night Cakes (American palates differ from that of the British Isles so we will present our own tasty renditions). This will give the audience time to enjoy refreshments while mingling with our costumed performers.

Her “NEFERTUM” collection exhibits cushions\, curtains\, and women’s dresses\, hand painted on Egyptian cotton and linen\, inspired by ancient Egyptian motifs and designs and opens at 6 pm both nights. \nProfessor Yasser Elshayeb\, will explain how information communications technology (ICT) may contribute to better knowledge and understanding of ancient Egyptian life. DESCRIPTION:A discussion of the book “Hope After Faith” by Jerry DeWitt. DeWitt was a pastor in the town of DeRidder\, Louisiana\, and was a fixture of the community. In private\, however\, he’d begun to question his faith. Late one night in May 2011\, a member of his flock called seeking prayer for her brother who had been in a serious accident. As DeWitt searched for the right words to console her\, speech failed him\, and he found that the faith which once had formed the cornerstone of his life had finally crumbled to dust. When it became public knowledge that DeWitt was now an atheist\, he found himself shunned by much of DeRidder’s highly religious community\, losing nearly everything he’d known. The book is available on Kindle for $3.99.
