Bay Weekly from Maryland’s Mountains to Shining Ocean

Dear Bay Weekly:
I lived in Galesville for over six years and recently moved back home to Cumberland a year ago. I missed the ‘Bay Times’ so much and just recently found your URL. I am so happy!

I was wondering: Have you ever thought of making Bay Weekly available for all Maryland counties and the tri-state region, perhaps from Garrett County all the way down to Ocean City?

The 15 million people living in the Chesapeake Bay watershed play an important role in the ecosystem.

Why not try and reach out and touch all of them?

I think your paper would be a hit everywhere and something that brings each county throughout Maryland closer together!

Sincerely,
— Christa Kennedy, Cumberland

Editor’s note: We’re flattered by your suggestion, and we’re with you in seeing that Chesapeake Country is a community of interest, a universe revolving around the same sun, our Bay. But our best chance for being everywhere is the Worldwide Web, where you found us.

She Saw It, Too

Dear Bay Weekly:
Your Halloween article on ghosts, haunting and UFOs [“Alien Hunters and Paranormal Investigators Explore the Far Horizon of Chesapeake Country”: Vol. IX, No. 43, October 25-31] was very interesting. I am a friend of Bill Bean and have seen some of his videos; in fact some were taken at my residence here on the Bay. He has many excellent videos and photos. I too, have video footage of disc-shaped objects over the Bay as well as many ORB photos. Please visit my web site at www.mystic-chamber.com.

Thank you for your time. Many blessings,
— Lisa Osborne, [email protected]

Seeking Ribbon Candy

Dear Bay Weekly:
In your archives, I found an article on ribbon candy. For years I have been looking for ribbon candy. Because I have had no luck, I thought that I would make it myself, so I have been searching the Internet for the recipe but have had no luck as of yet. Wondering if you can help?

If you luck out and happen to run across it, send it to me and I’ll send you a really big batch.

Thank you!
— Yevette Lobban, [email protected].

Celebrate as Beach Buccaneers Turn 20

Dear Bay Weekly:
We would like to invite you and all your readers to the Beach Buccaneers’ youth sports league’s 20th Anniversary Homecoming Saturday, November 3, in Chesapeake Beach, at Kellam Field.

The football games will begin at 8am and end at 10pm. The homecoming crowning of queens and princesses will be from 2 to 3:15. We will have free pony rides and a Moon Bounce for the kids during the day as well.

So come on down, bring your family and enjoy a fun-filled, action packed day with us.

Hope to see you there!
— The Emerys, North Beach
