The Maryland Yellowthroat: Found Again
Dear Bay Weekly:
Re: Earth Journal (Vol. xii, No. 34: Aug. 19, 2004) The Maryland (aka Common) Yellowthroat.
I was a budding birder in 1948, but I still remember this little warbler as the Maryland yellowthroat. I had an old hardcover bird book that I dragged out into the garden and discovered this songster.
Thanks for the smile!

Droves from Ben Miller’s Museum Reviews
Dear Bay Weekly:
We had a very good weekend here at the Naval Academy Museum; very high attendance Saturday and Sunday. I can only attribute that to the fine article Ben Miller wrote for Bay Weekly [Enhancing Esprit through Common History: Vol. xiv, No. 21: May 25.] People must have read the article and come out in droves, despite the presence of the director. Thank you for the plug, and keep up the good work.
Scott Harmon,
Director: U.S. Naval Academy Museum
