Wheel Onto the Beach
On July 20, the town of North Beach gained a new beach access wheelchair. The wheelchair has a PVC pipe frame, making it lightweight and easy to maneuver on sand.
You can’t miss its bulging, balloon tires. The chair even has an umbrella attachment for sunnier days.
The chair was a donation to the city by the Spiritist Society of North Beach in collaboration with the Abigail Francisco School of Classical Ballet. Abigail Francisco decided to lend a hand to the donations to give back to her neighborhood.
“I feel in my heart that we have to always be charitable, especially to those who are less fortunate than us,” Francisco said. “When we unite and work together, we can accomplish so many more helpful things, and bring what’s needed to our community.”
