Chesapeake Beach Stars & Stripes Festival

Chesapeake Beach pays tribute to all who have served. Decorate your home, business or boat in red, white and blue for a prize.   Saturday: Opening ceremony features Kelly Swanson and the Naval Academy Band’s Brass Quintet (10am; Veterans’ Memorial Park, Chesapeake Beach). Nam’s Knights motorcycle ride (1pm). Free moonlight cruise for active military members aboard Miss Chesapeake departing from Rod ‘n’ Reel (7:30pm).

Bowie Memorial Day Parade ~ free

Community groups, political clubs, school bands and more march and roll in honor of all who fought for American freedom. The parade begins at 11am at the Bowie High School Annex on Belair Drive, winds toward Annapolis Road and ends at Sage Lane. Bring flags, wear red, white and blue and be in voice to cheer.
