We welcome campers of all families and faiths and invite you to explore our 40+ full- and half-day programs for ages 3-18 to see how we can meet your family’s needs. Our weeklong camps cover all the bases: sports camps for those who like to be active … creative arts camps for the artistic … academic camps to satisfy STEM interests. For kids who like a wide mix of activities, we have Eagles Explorations, the best traditional day program around.
    Eight camps are new this year: Eagles Coding, Eagles Robotics, Eagles STEM, Eagles Dance, Eagles Girls’ Field Hockey, Christ the King Soccer Camp, Little Robot Mechanic and Deep Space Robotics. Eagles Explorations now also includes a Drama and Improv class.
    Most camps meet at the Upper School in Severn; basketball camps meet at the Middle School campus in Annapolis.

Bridge Church VBS Hero Central

Watch your child turn into one of God’s ­superheroes

At VBS Hero Central, children ages 5-11 enjoy an interactive, energizing, Bible-based good time as they discover their strength in God. They will become heroes and explore how to serve God and God’s mission in their lives.
    After a high-energy opening assembly at Hero Central, campers make their way to the Bible Story Headquarters. Interactive Bible lessons reveal Hero Codes to equip your camper for an active life with God. Campers learn a Bible memory Hero Verse that will remain with them in their faith long after this summer.

Chill out this summer — on ice!

Children learn to ice skate or continue to develop their skating skills in a fun and exciting way with our figure skating and hockey camps.
    We have something for all levels, ages 3-15. Camp schedules vary by week, but you always get on-ice instruction, on-ice games and music, off-ice games and crafts.
    Camps are half-day for 3- to 6-year-olds and full-day for 6- to 15-year-olds. Don’t let your child miss out on this cool summer fun.

Calvert County Parks and Recreation Camps

Fun, fun, fun!

From June 19 to August 28, Calvert County Parks and Recreation offer a wide variety of camps for children of all ages and abilities at community centers, parks and schools throughout the county. Led by great staff, camps include crafts, games, exciting field trips and sports — all at affordable prices.
    Pick your weeks of Cool Kids Fun Camps, including indoor and outdoor interactive play, sports, dance, blockbuster movies, nature walks and creative fitness for grades 1-5 and 6-8, in weekly themed sessions throughout the county.

Calvert Marine Museum Day Camps

Play on the Bay in many ways

For kids who want to take their love of water to the next level, Calvert Marine Museum offers two camp choices this summer.
    July 5-7, middle schoolers are invited to the three-day Coroplast Boat mini-camp, building a canoe, learning about boat safety, maneuvers and paddling in the boat basin. After camp, take your boat home with you.
    Children 1st to 9th grade have their day on the water August 14-18. Monday, the Scallywag Crew (grades 1-3) wears pirate garb, eats pirate grub and does pirate work like hunting for buried treasure or fighting a sea battle aboard our bugeye, Wm. B. Tennison.
    Tuesday, 5th and 6th graders join Norse Exploration Camp, learning navigation, ship building, runes and shield symbology just like the fearless Norse seafarers did.
    Wednesday, 6th to 9th graders become paleontologists for the day and hunt for fossilized shark teeth, whale bones and the shells of ancient creatures, working with real paleontologists to uncover the mysteries of the deep.
    Thursday, 4th to 7th graders learn what it takes to be a 17th century colonist, sail on the skipjack Dee of Saint Mary’s for an adventure through the marsh, make their own maps and discover key survival skills.
    Friday, 1st to 3rd graders splash through a day of wet outdoor waterplay captaining their own toy boats.

Calvert Nature Society

A summer of natural exploration awaits

Chesapeake Country abounds in natural wonder, much of it in our own back yards. Explore the wilder side of Calvert County at our nature camps. Campers engage all their senses in age-appropriate activities in outdoor settings. Different camps meet each week for a specific range of ages, from pre-K through 12th grade.
    Campers spend time exploring the fields, forests, streams and wetlands of our region, including Flag Ponds Nature Park, Biscoe Gray Heritage Farm, Kings Landing Park and Battle Creek Cypress Swamp. Our camps also include field trips to learn more about the environment. We have camps for learning about the creatures that call our area home, camps that take us back to the times when Native Americans roamed this land and camps that teach nature photography.
    Older kids learn outdoor skills, challenging themselves to expand their experience in nature. High school campers explore nature while developing their leadership skills. Our “Chow Hounds” is for anyone who likes to eat. Campers will learn about outdoor cooking, campfire safety and what wild plants are edible.
    We offer both full-day and half-day camps, and some camps have an overnight excursion for a total nature experience.

The teachers of Calvert School of Dance have been sharing their love of movement for more than 29 years. We know that dance training is an important part of a well-rounded education, with benefits reaching out in many different directions.

Camp Conowingo

Girl Scouting in the great outdoors

Girl Scouts of Central Maryland’s 600-acre summer residential camp at Camp Conowingo brings girls outdoors in a safe and caring community to explore forest, fields and waterfront while building courage, confidence and character.
    Scouts learn a range of skills from archery and horseback riding to science and leadership in an all-girl environment that encourages fun and friendship. Campers can choose to stay in yurts, tents or cabins. Every week has a theme and includes lots of crafts, nature exploration, sports and summertime fun.
    Whether first-time campers or veterans seeking new adventures, Scouts will find fun, friendship and memories to last a lifetime in sharing a new adventure with girls from all over central Maryland and counselors from all over the world.

Camp Hidden Meadows

Spend a summer of active fun in a spectacular location along a river in the mountains of West Virginia.
    Since 1992, we have made summer full of fun, friends and new adventures for our campers. Davidsonville UMC Theater Camp

Hone your acting chops and put on a show

Now in its 11th year, the Davidsonville UMC Theater Camp involves kids ages 7-12 in original productions featuring the best in contemporary music. Children grow as they take on the responsibility of learning their lines, singing six songs and performing for an audience.
    Camp meets at the church 9am-3pm. Each day we work on an original theater production, using games and rehearsals to improve each camper’s acting and singing skills. On Friday, we put on our play. Elks Camp Barrett

Helping young people develop and grow by ­getting outdoors for adventure and fun

Elks Camp Barrett is a traditional summer camp set in a 147-acre campus of rolling hills, streams and hiking paths, with air-conditioned cabins for comfortable sleeping. As well as pool swimming, hiking, archery, arts and crafts, outdoor skills, campfire and zip-line, campers choose from an array of programs updated each year, such as computer building, drama, kitchen science, herb gardening, metal detecting, yoga and more.
    Weekly sessions for girls and boys, ages 9 (or rising 4th-graders)-13 with Sunday afternoon check-in; Friday afternoon pickup. Campers should be worthy and deserving or not otherwise likely to have such an opportunity.

M.A.D. Camp at UUCA

Music, arts and drama with a show as the finale

M.A.D. (Music, Art, & Drama) Camp is a day camp for kids entering grades 3-8 who enjoy the arts.
    During the week, campers experience a taste of music, art and drama as they assemble the musical The Emperor’s New Clothes. Hans Christian Andersen’s The Emperor’s New Clothes is a humorous fairy tale about a good-hearted but gullible king who is duped by cunning scoundrels who weave an invisible suit of clothes that “only the wise can see.”
    Campers get an introduction to handbells and handchimes, take a bowling and pizza road trip, watch movies and snack on popcorn. Camp is directed by choir director and music educator Len Langrick and meets at the UU Church of Annapolis.
    This full-day camp dismisses early on Friday when campers and their families return for dinner and the musical performance.
    Parents will appreciate: Seeing children perform after a week of hard work and lots of fun, under the direction of a music educator. Plus registration discounts for volunteers.

Naptown Sings

For kids interested in music, music and more music

Children ages 6-12 learn to sing the songs they love and play guitar, piano or drums-of-the-world. Highly qualified instructors ensure a well-rounded educational experience and an exciting week. In addition to group instruction in voice and instruments, students make friends, play games and have an all around musical good time.
    Camp meets at the Metropolitan Kitchen and Lounge on West Street in Annapolis, 10am-3pm Monday through Friday.
    Why a restaurant? The second floor of Metropolitan is a music venue where local and national professionals play. For years, the Naptown Sings! Glee Club has held its concerts there. Now we’re bringing our summer camp to this real live professional venue. On the last day of camp, students show off what they’ve learned in a big concert.

Ocean City Recreation & Parks Summer Camps

Summer camp by the sea, the beautiful sea

Ocean City Recreation and Parks again offers a variety of great camps including arts, science and aquatics. We have day camps running from one to five days. Camps, some co-ed, run from two to seven hours for ages 3-18-plus.

Fill your summer with music

Rock your summer with School of Rock Columbia’s Rockin’ Summer Camps. We offer a variety of full-day five-day camps (and half-day camps for our youngest Rookie rockers, ages 6-7) all summer long to inspire and excite young musicians. All skill levels welcome. We LOVE beginners!

TimberNook West River

Fun happens when nature and imagination combine

TimberNook is the ultimate outdoor experience for kids ages 4-13. Experiences to engage the mind and body are introduced, and kids use their imagination to fulfill and engage in each experience. There is lots of time for free play, adventure and making new friends.
    Imagine children building a wooden bridge of their own design deep in the woods or creating a birthday party for the birds from mud in the creek and pinecones on the forest floor. Imagine them crafting flying contraptions out of simple recycled materials before launching them off an ancient boulder or walking in a shallow and slow-moving river, scanning the area for crayfish and turtles.

Campers have fun on the water and in chalk talks, learning how to rig and de-rig, launch, trim sail, capsize and upright, sail and sail fast. Instructors instill respect for the water and teach techniques and skills to sustain a lifelong passion for the sport.
    Lunch breaks every sailing day. Each week culminates with a special activity, be it a treasure hunt sail to High Island in the Rhode River or a quiet picnic to Round Bay to observe horseshoe crabs laying eggs.
    Monday through Friday, mid-June to mid-August two-week sessions for junior sailors ages 8 and up, classed by age and experience and moving up with increasing skills. Monday through Friday two-hour sessions for Sea Urchins ages 6-7 start July 10, 24 and 31.
    Parents will appreciate: From its first junior program in 1953, West River Sailing Club has had a long and successful history with young sailors. All instructors are U.S. Sailing Level 1 certified and have first aid and CPR training. We also have a full-time director on staff. The instructor-to-sailor ratio is about 1 to 6 or 7.
