BUSINESSES TEAM UP TO OFFER FREE SEMINARS AT THE ANNAPOLIS SAILBOAT SHOW

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Chesapeake Bay Magazine and the Annapolis School of Seamanship are teaming up with Beneteau, Jeanneau, Annapolis Yacht Sales and Crusader Yacht Sales to host a series of free seminars at the Annapolis Sailboat Boat Show (Oct. 13-17).

The extensive lineup includes practical, how-to topics on weather, docking, charter vacations, navigation, stressless docking strategies, how to get a captain’s license and sailing to exotic destinations in distant oceans, all led by professional captains and international experts.

Highlights include ocean explorer Matt Rutherford, the first sailor to complete a non-stop single-handed circumnavigation of the North and South American continents; and Jim Toomey, humor writer and creator of the popular syndicated comic strip, “Sherman’s Lagoon,” sharing his new book, “Family Afloat – Two Years Sailing the World.”

The seminar series is free to boat show attendees. All of the seminars take place in the second-floor ballroom of the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel adjacent to the sailboat show docks. Limited seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees can enter seminars from either the hotel or the upstairs deck of Pussers Caribbean Grill. Seminar speakers and schedule are subject to change.
