Block That Power Play
Dear Bay Weekly:
As frequent visitors to Chesapeake Bay, we enjoyed and appreciated Margaret Tearman’s [April 7] story called Power Play, in which she dissected Pepco’s proposal to build an electricity tunnel under the Bay and a big building in Calvert County. We can tell you from many years as Pepco customers, they are not to be trusted when it comes to service, responsibility and the environment. Plus, it seems like Calvert County is doing more than its part in providing energy for the nation by hosting a nuclear plant at a time when nuclear power is causing some serious problems in the world.
