Community Building at Calvert Library
Dear Bay Weekly:
I am delighted to let you know that our customers are reading and loving Bay Weekly. Thank you for keeping our community informed about the various classes, events and services we offer at the Calvert Library.
For some of these, we have found the need to be strict about registration because of overwhelming interest. One such service is the Job Counseling that volunteer Sandra Holler offers at the Prince Frederick library most Thursday mornings. These are tough economic times, and we are thankful to be able to offer this service. Ms. Holler gives one-on-one attention to her customers, so thank you for reminding your readers to sign up for an appointment slot either online at calvert.lib.md.us or by calling 410-535-0291 or 301-855-1862.
I am always delighted when I see the product of our Creative Memoirs workshops printed within your pages. And I love the great articles about our Calvert Eats Local group. We were so excited to host Bill Lambrecht, journalist and author of Dinner at the New Gene Café, at our most recent potluck and meeting.
Keep up the great work. Your commitment to community building is an inspiration. Thank you from the Calvert Library.
