Long summer days brought lazy poolside gatherings, beach get-a-ways, and backyard cookouts. Soon the sizzle turns to fizzle and summer days shorten, ushering in the harvest season. Crisp mornings trigger the tired trees to prepare for winter, resulting in a color show of reds, oranges, and yellows. Home gardens offer apples, pumpkins, and squash, while sprawling golden fields are harvested, exposing hues of rich browns. Finally, the Harvest Moon with a sigh, will light up our midnight in homage to the glory of summer and the coming winter.
