Are we still able to act on climate? In the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center’s last evening lecture of the year, join Dr. Katharine Hayhoe as she untangles the science connecting our choices today to future impacts, and highlights climate solutions that are already happening here in the Chesapeake and around the world.

Katharine Hayhoe is a climate scientist and science communicator. She serves as Chief Scientist of The Nature Conservancy, and the Political Science Endowed Professor in Public Policy and Public Law at Texas Tech University. Her TED talk, “The most important thing you can do to fight climate change: Talk about it” has nearly 4 million views. She also co-founded Science Moms, a group of mothers working to demystify climate change and give parents the info they need to conserve the planet for their children. Discover new reasons for climate optimism, in this solutions-focused evening science talk.
