It’s July 4,1776 at Historic Annapolis

• William Paca House and Garden: Join HA celebrating Fourth of July with living history interpreters will be bringing the historic home to life!
• Meet William and Mary Paca, their guests, and servants as they discuss the Declaration of Independence.
• Meet Frederick Douglass speaking about his speech, “For What to a Slave is the Fourth of July”: Nathan Richardson renowned Frederick Douglass enactor will recite an excerpt from the Douglass speech. He will talk about the reasons for the speech which equally held America accountable for the institution of slavery but also affirmed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution as a promise of life and liberty for all people.
Time: Frederick Douglass: 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm
