South Korea is a fascinating country as it reflects its Buddhist roots and is a showcase for
economic development. To understand present day Korea one must look at its history for clues.
To describe Korea, its evolving nature must be acknowledged. In the eight years since I was last
in Korea, I was surprised by all the changes–fashion, technology, economic prosperity, and food!
I will talk about the changes I have witnessed in the 30 years I have traveled back and forth to
Korea!! I have made over 20 trips to Korea in the 30 years. Pictures will accompany the
