The Garden Club of Old Annapolis Towne is inviting Annapolis residents and businesses to join in the 66th annual May Day celebration by displaying colorful baskets of flowers in front of their house or business. Due to the current social distancing mandates, the Garden Club will not be awarding blue ribbons this year. However, we are encouraging residents to set out May baskets on their porches in a showing of gratitude and appreciation of all of the numerous healthcare workers and many other helpers in our community. Feel free to be creative and use flowers from your garden and other items that you already own.
Please set out your May “basket” by 10:00 am on Saturday, May 1, so that our community has a full day of viewing the colorful baskets around town. Please post photos of your colorful baskets to social media and use #maydayannapolis2021 and #66thannapolismayday
