A paper-shredding truck will be on our church parking lot on Saturday, April 23, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Bring your personal or business papers that need to go, and they will be shredded while you watch!

In addition, you can bring cork wine bottle stoppers and drop them in our collection box. We’ll deliver the cork to Annapolis Green, which will pass them on to ReCork for recycling into shoe soles.

Here’s your chance to clear some clutter and support local recycling.

There’s no charge for the shredding or the cork collection. If you choose to make a donation to our spiritual center, we will gratefully receive it!

Cork Collecting

We’ll also have boxes on the parking lot, where you can deposit natural cork wine bottle stoppers. UBB is partnering with Annapolis Green, which collects cork stoppers and then passes them on to ReCork.

Annapolis Green is a local nonprofit organization that sponsors and supports a range of activities related to recycling, composting, and protecting the Chesapeake Bay. You can read more about this group at annapolisgreen.com.

ReCork is North America’s largest natural wine cork stopper recycling program. The corks that it receives through organizations such as Annapolis Green are repurposed into products such as footbeds for shoes. Learn more about ReCork.
