Anne Arundel Community College’s Peer Learning Partnership (PLP) is sponsoring a showing of “Passage to Sweden,” followed by a discussion with the film’s director, Suzannah Warlick, and narrator, Chana Sharfstein, from noon to 2pm September 23, 2002, via Zoom. “Passage to Sweden” tells the story of events in Scandinavia and Budapest during the war, focusing on the heroic actions of ordinary people who saved the lives of thousands of Jews and others.
Sheer luck of where in Scandinavia you lived was a key to survival there. Politics and geography created vastly different fates for Jews living in Sweden, Norway or Denmark.
