David Gendell, a lifelong Annapolis sailor, will walk through the history of Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse including the rise of the port of Baltimore, the early lighthouses on the peninsula, and the construction of the screwpile on the shoal. The presentation will include a look at noteworthy keepers and an overview of the current state of the lighthouse. Charts, maps, plans, and other illustrations will be used to highlight the unique history of this Bay icon.
