SMCM Symphony Orchestra and St. Mary's College Jazz Band, under the direction of Jeff Silberschlag, will give a holiday-themed concert. The program will include a juxtaposition of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker with Duke Ellington's jazzed-up version, and other works. This is a free event.

The SMCM Chamber Singers, under the direction of Larry Vote, will give their annual performance of Handel's Messiah. First performed in 1742, Handel's Messiah has become one of the most recognizable and frequently performed compositions in Western music. The performance is free, but tickets are required.
