Help AFC Urgent Care Fill the SCAN Food Pantry

AFC Urgent Care’s doors remain open for food donations until the end of November.

“This is the first year we’ve done something like this,” said Ginni Morani, owner of AFC Urgent Care. “Everyone wanted to get involved with a local pantry for the holiday.”

The drive benefits South County Assistance Network, a non-profit food pantry in Lothian that serves Chesapeake Country from Davidsonville to Rose Haven.

“We’ve done other charity events in the past, but this time we really wanted to stay local and give back to our community,” Morani said.

There’ll also be a raffle prize basket with donations from many businesses in the Edgewater strip.

“The drawing for the basket will be December 1 and anyone can enter if they donate,” Morani added.

SCAN will take anything nonperishable to give to local families in need.
