Best of the Bay Weekly
Dear Readers:
You’re reading Bay Weekly’s 681st issue, the culmination of 14 years of bringing you the best news in Chesapeake Country. News is our business, and with this issue, we begin a new tradition: ending the year with the Best of the Bay.
In past years, we’ve run Best of the Bay readers’ choice in the fall, while our final issue has been a Year in Review.
This year, we’re combining the two into one superlative issue. Here you’ll find the places our readers voted Bay Bests in 2006. And here you’ll revisit the memorable stories and columns of 2006.
But with so many good stories, we need your help to determine the very best. With your advice, we’ll know what stories to enter in the annual editorial competition of the Maryland-Delaware-District of Columbia Press Association. Judges this year are members of the North Carolina Press Association.
Our entries are due Jan. 17, so we’ll need your choices by Jan. 11. Send your picks to [email protected].
Come spring, when the judging’s done, we’ll let you know how we’ve done, together, and who our winners are.
Then, come summer, we’ll be asking for your Best of the Bay votes on top Bay places, issues, experiences and business in 2007.
