Servers Race for Props and Charity

Who has what it takes to be crowned the fastest server on the Bay?
Six-person server teams registered by local restaurants compete in an obstacle-course competition, dodging obstructions while demonstrating their skill. Teams vie for the chance to win bragging rights and a cash prize.
The challenge is free for the watching, but bring your pocketbook for food and drinks sponsored by Blue Dog BBQ Company and Jailbreak Brewing Company. Fresh-squeezed crushes and live music supplement the competition.
The fun contest also doubles as a fundraiser. Volunteers from The Point Crab House in Arnold organized the relay to benefit the Annapolis Immigration Justice Network. The network has assisted more than 30 immigrant families by connecting them with legal, medical and other support services. The Point Crab House partnered with the Network to show support for immigrant coworkers and neighbors in the wake of recent immigration policies and enforcement.
Servers must be sponsored by a restaurant to compete in the challenge. But all are welcome to watch the race, eat, drink and enjoy. Monday June 25, 1pm to 5pm, Sandy Point State Park, Annapolis:  www.facebook.com/FastestServerOnTheBay.
