She’s Ready; Are You?

Spring has finally broken through with warmer days urging us all to get outside. Know who else would like to get out more? Your dog.

So grab the leashes and head to Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis Sunday May 5 for the annual Walk for the Animals.

Last year, more than 2,200 guests showed their support for the Anne Arundel County SPCA at the walk.

Humans and canines of all shapes and sizes stroll park trails at their own pace and do a little browsing and sniffing in Vendor Village.

More than 80 vendors and exhibitors line the road and fill the parking lot offering doggie and human treats, info on breed- and age-specific rescue groups and plenty of furry faces looking for a new home. Find everything from clothing for your pet to companies remodeling animal living spaces. Head down the hill to see the display of vehicles at the Cars & Critters car show.

Working dogs show off their skills at the K9 Demo and Agility Yard. You and your dog can enjoy a more leisurely pace when you stop by the Food Bowl to enjoy treats for humans and pets alike.

Are you seeking a new furry companion? The SPCA will have plenty of animals available for adoption, so prepare to pass your interviews.
