What We Like about Bay Weekly
I wanted you to know I will miss the Bay Weekly. It has been a delightful addition to my reading materials, even though I subscribe to three dailies … too many. Your paper covers topics that are appealing and interesting, not to be found in the others. I do understand that print papers are a struggling breed, sad to say, and finding someone who wishes to follow you in that endeavor is unlikely among the on-line reader population.
Not sure if you remember me: I interned for you ages ago when I was in college. But I saw that you’re looking for someone to buy Bay Weekly, and I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how much the paper has meant to me.
That internship was such a lovely introduction to journalism. I appreciated the way you’d edit my writing, by letting me sit next to you as you explained each revision. You put so much care and thought into every piece and set an example I’ve tried to follow in my own work. I’ve always been proud to be a Bay Weekly alum; its community focus, quality writing and big-heartedness will continue to inspire me as long as I’m in the business.
Thank you, thank you.
