A Good Party for a Good Cause
Eight Reasons Not to Miss Bay Weeklys Birthday Bash
by Mary Catherine Ball
On the shores of the South River where chords of music fill the air and smells of barbecue and grilled hot dogs waft near your nose: This is where you need to be Sunday, May 7 as Bay Weekly celebrates its seventh birthday on the lawn at Surfside 7.
Our birthday bash means a lot to us and a lot for you. You are our guests; no fee is required. But we do hope for $1 donations to benefit the South River Federation.
Games of volleyball will activate the afternoon. Music, food, massages and more fill the day. Walk the deck to keep your bids current in the silent auction.
Then when the music ends and your bellies are full, settle down and get ready for the real fun. Bay Weekly welcomes you to its live auction, fun for the whole family. Ladies with a Gavel Pam Parks and Judy Howard call the items and bids in true auctioneer style. Open your wallet or purse and let it all hang out.
See you at Surfside 7, across the South River Bridge in Edgewater. Sunday, May 7, noon-5pm: free.
